Zachary Steinshouer is a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in Arizona, a nationally certified practitioner of Oriental Medicine (Dipl. O.M), and an herbalist certified by the NCCAOM. Zachary earned his master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture in Phoenix, AZ after studying extensively at Huen Samun Prai in Lamphun, Thailand. While living abroad in Thailand, Zachary was inspired by the profound effects traditional medicines had on patients and became a certified therapist in the Nuad Boran lineage of Thai massage while assisting a traditional acupuncturist. This experience not only influenced his life path, but it also led to his strong belief in the great importance of this ancient system of medicine. The balance of mind, body, and spirit is something Zachary is devoted to both personally and with his clients.
Zachary’s approach to treating his patients is highly individualized and holistic in nature—he provides each patient with a treatment plan tailored to his or her needs by utilizing a combination of acupuncture, herbal medicine, therapeutic massage, and nutritional and lifestyle recommendations. By complimenting acupuncture treatments with a variety of modalities within the Chinese Medicine umbrella, Zachary is able to enhance the treatment of a wide range of conditions stemming from both physical and emotional imbalances. He carefully listens to and builds strong relationships with his patients in order to develop a clear and detailed picture of overall health and unique needs, which allows him to not only treat the presenting complaint, but also the root cause of the condition. Zachary’s clinical expertise includes treating digestive issues, headaches/migraines, cosmetic complaints, pain, and women’s health and fertility issues through the use of traditional Thai and Chinese medicine.
